Butterfly Wallpaper.
This is one of my favourite wallpapers by contemporary artist Damien Hirst. I think it has a 1960's psychedelic feel to it and all of the repeated patterns and shapes remind of looking through a kaleidoscope. I think this is a really delicate and beautiful piece of work from Damien Hirst and will use it as a inspiration when looking for new idea's in future projects.
I've always found the work of Damien Hirst very intriguing and unusual not only just because of the obvious controversy but because of how diverse he is as an artist. I really admire how he can create sculptures and paintings with such different styles and meanings to them. When you look at his 3D work like the famous "The Kingdom" (below), which is a preserved tiger shark in silicone and formaldehydes solution in a glass and steel tank, and then you look at "Tranquility"(below 2) you can see the immediate diversity in his work and this is what I love about his work.
