Salford Quays

When doing some drawings for my summer brief I found that I wasn't that satisfied with some of the photographs that I had to draw from and found the buildings not as inspirational as I thought they would be. To fix this problem I decided to travel to Salford Quays to take some photo's as I know the buildings are quite amazing there and there is a lot to draw from. I haven't visited Salford Quays in a long time and so I wasn't really sure what to expect but I found it a great delight! The buildings are huge and made up of interesting shapes which I found to be inspirational as i'm thinking of using a lot of shapes and angles in my work for this brief. Also I was absolutely mesmerised with the structure of the bridges! I was intently draw to them and couldn't stop taking photographs of the metal work and towers until the battery on my camera ran out! I have posted some of the photographs I took below. I will be hoping to work with these photo's soon to create collages and edit things on photoshop to make new images with them.
