Matthew Williamson Fall 2011 Collection.

This collection by Matthew Williamson attracted me to research into his designs as it's a collection that really stands out to me because of the colours he has used and the unusual print designs. I found Matthew Williamson when searching for contemporary fashion designers who use ethnic prints as they really interest me and are a part of surface design that I have alwasy been attracted to.The designs are very much like those found in Native American prints and are beautiful. He has mixed these prints with fur coats which again gives them a Native American feel but adding the other accessories to the models has given the prints a more sophisticated style and brought them up to date.

I have began to consider these prints in my summer sketch book and am experimenting with simular patterns as I find them visually exciting and am enjoying experimenting with them.
